Sophie's Birthday...

Today is Sophie Bear's birthday. She is very excited. Miss Wellsbury has been shopping for her presents and setup a party for her.

Lots of Sophie's friends have come around and Miss Wellsbury has thrown a party for them.

Sophie Bear had four birthday candles because she is four years old. Come on Sophie - blow them out!

Well done!


Now the bit that Sophie has been waiting for (along with eating the chocolate) - opening her presents!

Miss Wellsbury helped her a bit to rip the paper to start with. Once it got started Sophie was off! She looked at the box trying to work out what it was. She read the letters ... w h a l e ... and sounded them out. It's a whale she said - a bit puzzled. "Come on", said Miss Wellsbury, "we'll show you what it is ..."

 

"Oh wow!", shouted Sophie, "it's a giant whale!".

All her friends piled in - it's a giant whale paddling pool.

 

Miss Wellsbury had another surprise. It's not just a paddling pool - they also had lots of balls to play with in it.

 

Hey Sophie - don't be naughty. She's burying Little Bear in the balls - you can hardly see him.

Doesn't Sophie's ball pool look fun?

 

 

Parent's Note

Sophie's ball pool is a spraying whale pool from Tesco. The balls are from ELC (currently 3 for 2)!

Hint: The pool's not just good for kids - fill it with warmer water and relax yourself - just like a hottub!
