Henry helped out by carrying the tees for Miss Wellsbury.
A tee is a little plastic thing you poke into the ground
and balance your ball on. You can then hit it a long
way with your club.
Sophie and Henry weren't very good at this because
they had such short arms but they enjoyed themselves
very much anyway.
On the way home they stopped at Crondon
Park Golf Club, near Stock. They have a Driving
Range where you can go and buy a bucket of balls and
hit them as far as you can one after another. The best
part for Sophie and Henry was that you don't have to
pick up the balls afterwards!
Miss Wellsbury enjoyed it so much that she's thinking
of taking golf lessons!
