Sophie Bear is excited today because she and Mrs Keen are
going to be watching their favourite team play in the FA Cup.
Mrs Keen found Sophie in a shop in Liverpool so they support
LIVERPOOL!!!

Sophie has taken prime position in
front of the TV. She is getting very excited and keeps
jumping up. Mrs Keen is telling her to sit down or sit
on the sofa - she can't see the TV!

The first goal and Sophie isn't happy - "You sausage!"
she shouts as Carragher scores an own goal. This means
that he scores a goal for the OTHER team - West Ham.

Little Bear isn't with them today because
he's gone home with one of Mrs Keen's class. I hope he's watching
it too because he likes watching football.
Who is going to win? It's now 3 - 3 so both
teams have scored 3 goals each. Sophie is very tense waiting
to see who scores next!
"Come on Liverpool!" shouts Sophie,
"Get it in the goal - quick!"
Oh no - it's still 3-3 and so it's going to
penalties.
Each team takes it in turns - First Liverpool
get one penalty, next one to West Ham, then Gerrard scores
for Liverpool. Riise scores the next for Liverpool, Next West
Ham miss. That means Liverpool have won! Sophie is dancing
around the room and shouting "YES - we WON!!!!"
Mrs Keen is very excited but she and Sophie
better not cheer too loudly because they live in Essex with
lots of West Ham fans!
