Sophie Bear is excited because today is going to be a very
busy day. First of all, Mrs Keen is having a new carpet fitted
in the lounge. First they have to push all of the furniture
into another room, then lift up the old carpet.
Then two men arrive in a van with a huge roll of carpet.
They put it down and rolled it along. Sophie watched - "It's
like pulling a big toilet roll...", she said! One of
the men lives near Sophie's school - "Thank You"
she said!
When they had finished, Mrs Keen, put all the furniture back
into the room - Sophie helped by sitting on it while Mrs Keen
lifted! "Hang on," said Sophie, " that sideboard
never went in here...", "Well it does now...",
replied Mrs Keen determinedly.
Mrs Keen has bought a new, bright red rug. It was all rolled
up like the carpet so Sophie pretended she was a carpet fitter
by pushing hard and unrolling it!
Sophie decided that was enough of being helpful for one day
so lay down and went to sleep on the new rug - it was very
comfortable. Can you see something on the left-hand side (click
on the picture to enlarge it)? Looks like a tiger's tail to
me!
