Sarah Bear had such a great time on
the beach last week that she wanted to go somewhere else
this weekend. Mrs Keen said that because it was their Easter
holiday, that they could choose where to go. Sarah was very
excited and looked on the internet for ideas.
They agreed to go to Brighton for the day - it's a seaside
town like Southend, but much bigger.

Mrs Keen drove them down to Brighton. Because it's a
big city she said they were best to park at a special
place called a "Park and Ride". Then a bus came
and picked them up to get to the sea. Little Bear went
on a Park
and Ride in Chelmsford once! |
| The bus took a long time to get there so Sarah started
to get bored. Just then, "I can see the sea!"
she shouted. Everyone else on the bus smiled. |

It was very windy - Sarah's fur was getting very blown
about! Mrs Keen kept a tight hold on her, so she didn't
blow away.

"Look at the sea", said Mrs Keen, "the
waves are very big."
"I'm glad we're not on a boat." thought Sarah!

Sarah walked up and down the beach exploring. She managed
to find a fairground but Mrs Keen said they needed to
go because it had started to rain.

They went for a walk through the town. Mrs Keen spotted
a shop that she thought Sarah would like...
It's called "Sue Pearson's Dolls & Teddy Bears"
and it was stuffed full of other bears and animals.
Sarah sat down and made some new friends.
At the back of the shop they even have a hospital for
sick bears. Luckily, Sarah wasn't feeling ill!

Brighton has lots of other little shops. Sarah enjoyed
exploring them. She took a picture of this one to show
Sophie Bear. Can you guess what it sells? Yes - sweets!
|
Soon it was time to get the bus back and drive
home. They stopped at a pub on the way home for dinner. Sarah
had Sausages! She fell asleep in the car for the rest of the
way - it was a very tiring day. Night night, Sarah!

Sarah
had a great day out in Brighton. She drove down and
then used the Mon-Sat
park & ride to avoid high car parking charges
in the city centre.
Once
there she visited the beach next to the main pier.
