Gerald goes on holiday - leaving Sophie behind!...

Sophie Bear went to a place called Bruges some time ago. While there she met Gerald - the giraffe. Gerald wanted to go back to see his friends and buy some presents. He didn't have enough money to take Sophie so he went on his own. He took some pictures to show Sophie what he did...

 

Gerald travelled to Bruges on a big yellow train called "Eurostar". It goes through a very long tunnel under the sea and travels very quickly.

 

Gerald made straight for the centre of Bruges. He sat in his favourite cafe (right) and enjoyed lunch.

 

Gerald stayed overnight in the Crown Plaza Hotel which was very nice. He enjoyed swimming in the pool. These pictures show the view from his room.

 

Gerald likes beer - he came back with quite a lot. Sophie sat tapping her foot as he unpacked it. Luckily he'd bought her some special Belgian chocolates which she was very happy about.
