Cute furry bear

Sophie Bear has a new friend and he's helping her to tell a story. I'm not sure she's got it quite right though - why don't you help her?

Once upon a time there were three little pigs, a wolf and a bear called Sophie.
Cut here ....................
The first little pig decided to make his house out of straws ...
Cut here ....................

The Big Bad Wolf came along looking for his dinner. "Little Pig, Little Pig. Let me come in"

"Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin," replied the pig.
Cut here ....................

So he huffed ...

and he puffed ...

and he blew the house down!

 

SAUSAGE SANDWICH!

Cut here ....................

The second little pig decided to make his house out of sticks.

The Big Bad Wolf came along. "Little Pig, Little Pig, let me come in ..."

"Not by the hair on my chinny chinny chin."

So the wolf huffed...

and he puffed...

and he blew the house down.

 

BACON BUTTIES.

The third little pig was clever. He built his house out of bricks.

When the wolf came along, he said "Little Pig, Little Pig, let me come in."

"Not by the hair on my chinny chin chin."

So he huffed ...

and he puffed but nothing happened.
Cut here ....................

He got some help and together they huffed ...

and they puffed ...

but still the house stood.
Cut here ....................

So the third little pig lived happily ever after.

Sophie had to share her sweets with the wolf for dinner!

Parent's Note

This activity helps your child with many key concepts from the Early Learning Goals (equivalent to National Curriculum for 4-5 year olds). Two of the key ones are:

Sequencing a story - Read through the story with your child then cut out each row. Mix them up and now your child can remember the story and put the sections in the right order.

Telling a story out loud (Speaking and Listening) - Once they have put the story back together they can read (or recall) it back to you.
